Join Us for Eastgate’s Biggest Annual Celebration — A Day of Connection, Community Spirit, and Fun, All in Support of the Eastgate Fire Protection Society and Local Community
Whether you’re a full-time resident, a weekend regular, or a seasonal neighbour, Eastgate Community Day is your chance to come together and celebrate the place we all call home. This family-friendly event is all about supporting local emergency services and strengthening the wellness and safety of our mountain community — while enjoying a great time with friends and neighbours.
Hosted at the Eastgate Fire Protection Society hall, the event features exciting activities, a community BBQ, local prizes, and entertainment for all ages.
Event Schedule – Sunday, August 3
- 9:30 AM – Silent Auction opens
- 11:00 AM – Duck Race begins (with prizes)
- BBQ – hot dogs and refreshments
- Colouring Station for kids
- Community Bingo
- Face Painting
- FireSmart Info Booth & Trade Fair
- Kids Art Competition
- Raffle Draw
- 50/50 Draw
There’s something for everyone — from games and food to prizes and creative fun.
Kids Art Competition
Kids can take part in a fun and inclusive art competition, with categories by age:
- 3–5 years – Little Artists
- 6–8 years – Junior Creators
- 9–12 years – Young Explorers
- 13–16 years – Teen Visionaries
Each category winner will receive a prize and have their artwork displayed at the Eastgate Fire Protection Society hall. All participants will receive a commemorative Community Day button.
Raffle, 50/50 Draw & Silent Auction
Raffle – Don’t miss your chance to win fantastic prizes, including the Grand Prize: a luxury picnic basket featuring
- A bottle of Corcelettes wine
- Plates, glasses, and cutlery
- Napkins and a cozy picnic blanket
- Cheese board and knife
50/50 Draw – A simple and fun way to win cash while supporting the cause.
Silent Auction – Opens at 9:30 AM with a great selection of donated items and local treasures to bid on.

Exciting plans are already underway for 2026 Community Day—and we’d love for you to join us! Whether you’re a local resident, business owner, artist, volunteer, or simply passionate about Eastgate, there’s a meaningful way for you to get involved. All proceeds and volunteer efforts directly benefit the Eastgate Fire Protection Society as we steadily work toward raising funds for a new truck and essential equipment. Additionally, we warmly welcome corporate donations, including financial contributions and equipment, to help us achieve our community goals.
